About Me.

Canan Savaş was born in Istanbul. She studied and graduated from Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Hüsamettin Koçan ,Ergin Inan Studios .She worked in disciplines of painting ,glass and engraving in Tayfun Erdoğmuş ’s studio. 

After graduation she lived and worked in San Francisco between 1999-2007 she attended  group exhibitions and street festivals during her stay in Bay Area.

In 2007 she returned to Istanbul and worked at Era Media Group as writer in Artist Actual and Artist Modern Magazines until 2009 -2010.

She is the author-editor of “Istanbul Within the Language of Brushes”-Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture co. Publications 2010.

She attended numerous group exhibitions at home and abroad and had three solo exhibitions, International Art Residency program and Art Fairs such as Contemporary Art Istanbul several times , Artbeat Art Fair and SoFa Chicago Art Fair in USA.

She lives and works in Istanbul.
